Care shaped with you, not for you.

We provide outpatient psychiatric care that is collaborative, unhurried, and individualized, shaped with you at every step.

Individual, Not Algorithmic

Medication choices are not based on formulas or preset pathways. Decisions are guided by the individual and their goals.

Listening Comes First

Time is spent understanding the full picture before recommending or adjusting medication. Feeling heard is an essential part of good care.

Decisions Made Together

Options are discussed openly, with space for questions, uncertainty, and shared decision-making.

Changes Made With Care

Adjustments are made deliberately and at a pace that supports safety, comfort, and clarity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Lux Psychiatry provides evaluations and individualized medication management, often combined with therapeutic support. Care is available for children (8+), adolescents, young adults, and adults, through telehealth or limited in-person visits. Treatment plans are collaborative, tailored, and flexible. Whenever possible, we present our patients with several treatment options, exploring the pros and cons of each so that our patients are involved in shaping their own care.

We provide care for children (ages 8+), adolescents, young adults, and adults. Our approach is individualized to meet the needs of each patient.

Yes. We see children starting at age 8, adolescents, and young adults.

Lux Psychiatry provides outpatient psychiatric care for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood-related symptoms, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma-related symptoms, and adjustment-related concerns. Our services are best suited for individuals seeking thoughtful, ongoing medication management in an outpatient setting. If a different level of care or specialized services are needed, we help guide patients toward appropriate resources.

Yes. When clinically appropriate, controlled substances may be prescribed as part of a carefully considered treatment plan. For certain medications, recent testing (such as ADHD testing for stimulants) may be required, and a drug test may be requested before prescribing. All decisions are made thoughtfully and in collaboration with the patient.

We do not offer therapy or counseling as standalone services. However, many appointments include brief therapeutic support alongside medication management. This allows patients to process, reflect, and participate in planning their care. While Lux Psychiatry focuses primarily on medication management, therapy is integrated into appointments when helpful.

Lux Psychiatry provides scheduled outpatient psychiatric care and is not equipped to manage psychiatric emergencies or crisis situations. If you or your child are experiencing an urgent mental health crisis, please contact emergency services, go to the nearest emergency department, or reach out to local crisis resources. We are happy to support ongoing outpatient care once immediate needs are addressed.

Lux Psychiatry accepts the following insurance providers: Optum, UHC, Medica, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, UMR, and ComPsych. Please check your plan details, as coverage may vary. If you prefer, we also offer self-pay options for appointments.

Both options are available. Telehealth offers convenience and flexibility, while limited in-person visits provide face-to-face care when preferred.

Appointments can be scheduled directly through our patient portal by selecting “Schedule Now”. If you are unable to schedule online, you can submit an inquiry through the website, and our team will help you find a convenient time.

Bringing relevant information helps make your first visit as productive as possible. This can include previous evaluations, records of medication trials, important medical history, school or therapy notes, and any questions or concerns you’d like to discuss. Having this information allows the clinician to understand the full context and tailor care appropriately.
